HOLY CRAP! 1 VOTE! The wife and I need to have a little talk.

Danny, for once your comment was actually funny. I guess a blind squirrel living in a house divided can produce comedy.

Does this mean that Psycho-troll Danny and his alter-ego, Ashley Crow, might finally go away, ride off into the sunset? A person can dream.

Just another election. Wins, losses, etc. Glad it's over.

Congrats to Reinert and Oberstar.

to be fair, even if the liquor thing had won by ten votes, the politicians involved would not have moved to change things. they wanted a clear mandate, and they didn't get it. i must confess to being shocked.

You're right, for the most part. However, with a victory our side would have had a case to argue. Plus, Todd Fedora recently said that a majority is a majority indicating that he would have been on our side if it would have went the other way.

I'm still shaking my head today over this. The wife and I don't disagree on much when it comes to this kind of stuff. This was a rarity. If I only just would have been able to convince her, this would have gone the other way...literally.

I think it would have been great if one more person had voted yes, and it turned out to be a perfect tie.

Maybe there should be a civil war in Lakeside over this. A portion of Lakeside should secede and form its own neighborhood.

Barrett, I have to say I agree with you on this one. Although, I'm not sure how the kids would feel about Mommy and Daddy actually going to war with each other.

Official Danny Does Duluth Lakeside Moonshine coming soon!

Danny, you should draw a line through the center of each room in the house, like Ralph and Potsy did on "Happy Days" when they had a disagreement.

Drinking permitted on the west side of each room; prohibition on the east side.

(Personally, I recommend everyone solve their problems the way Ralph and Potsy would.)

That won't work either because we'll both be fighting over who gets to be Potsy.

Plus, I don't want try and get my wife to stop enjoying her beloved French 75's. After 10 years of marriage it's one of the best ways for me to get some action.
